A bottle of personalised wine always makes a great gift. The label and message can be serious or humorous to suit the situation.

Comment on African American Christmas Ornaments by Dr BLT

The song, Black Santa, written and recorded by psychologist, Dr BLT, took 15 years to hit the charts, and then landed at #21 at was, at that time a site that gathers and records the most heavily downloaded songs of the year--MP3000.net

If the song is studied as a metaphor, with the main character, an African-American male applying for a job as Santa Claus, being an archetype for African Americans struggling to break into positions traditionally defined by the dominant culture, it can be seen as foreshadowing Obama's rise to the presidency.

A psychologist who goes by his initials, Dr BLT is offering “shrink-rapped” gifts this Christmas. First he covered the topic of economic hardship and the holidays in a country song, and now he's re-releasing a rap song aimed at race relations as it relates to Christmas traditions.

The song, Black Santa, is an entertaining retro-rap song that tells the story of an African-American male applying for a job as Santa Claus at a department store, and the resistance he encounters in the process.

In 2005, it was spotted at #21 on the download charts at mp3000.net. Now it has been re-mixed and re-released. Here's a sample:

Black Santa Remix '08
Dr BLT ft. Michael C.
words and music by Dr BLT © 2008

and if you heard the country edition, but prefer shrink rap, here’s another sample for you:

You’re Not the Kinda Ho (That Santa had in Mind)
Rap edition (don't worry, it's family-friendly and contains a moral lesson to teens)

Its that special time of the year when a corporate or business gift is a must. It brings cheer and is great for marketing too, more so when the competition is stiff. That’s why this year, our company is giving away the ipod. We've just ordered them online from www.ipodyourlife.co.in/make_it.aspx and got our logo embossed on the ipods too

I found this very interesting. I'm trying to catch up on my cultural knowledge as it concerns African Americans and Christmas. After all, African-Americans have helped these Christmas songs of mine become very successful underground hits:

I always cringe a bit when I get to that line in the song, but I agree that U2, and Bono, in particular have done so much for humanity, so we don't want to make too much of this one line. Furthermore, I'd like to share these with you since you seem to be into holiday songs:
